Using GIT for Misty
I was introduced to GIT over a year ago by a fellow Synfig user and programmer extraordinaire, Lungching. Last week he demoed the benefits of GIT to our animation group. It really opened up my eyes to having version control without hundreds of saved versions of the same file.
If you haven’t tried GIT, definitely check it out. It’s super cool and easy to use.
Hey!
I know it’s been awhile since this blog post, but I think checking out the work of Constant/OSP will be useful. THey regularly use GIT for their design work and tried (unsuccessfully) to fund development of a GIT extension for designers: http://www.kisskissbankbank.com/en/projects/visual-culture-a-tool-for-design-collaboration
That’s really awesome. A tool like this would be great for my day job, working at a news magazine/website.
